The American Gaming Association hired longtime congressional staffer Eloy Martinez as senior director of government relations for the Washington, D.C.-based trade organization.
The AGA has also added former Nevada Congressman Steven Horsford as a strategic communications consultant who will help with corporate social responsibility efforts, including diversity and workforce development.
Martinez will work on the AGA's public policy, political and advocacy agendas. He spent the last seven years working on Capitol Hill, principally in the U.S. Senate. Most recently, he served as director of outreach and as staff director for the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee.
Earlier this year, Horsford formed R&R Resources+, an independently owned Minority Business Enterprise that is partly owned by Las Vegas-based R&R Partners. Horsford's firm was recently hired to work with the $1.2 billion MGM National Harbor
