A British grandmother has scooped the "world's largest ever bingo win", after taking home the National Bingo Game's platinum prize of £1.1 million. Christine Bradfield, 53, claimed the money after winning a Sunday night session at The Castle Club in Merthyr Tydfil.

Steve Baldwin, communications manager for the National Bingo Game, said "At this time we certainly believe Christine's win is the biggest win a legitimate game of bingo in the world,"

Bradfield, a member of the club for 11 years, said that she wouldn't be giving up work because of the win, adding that she wouldn't be giving up bingo either.

"I just love the game," she said. "I have been playing since I was old enough at 18 and I won't stop now."
