LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Fresh8 Gaming, the next generation ad-serving platform, yesterday triumphed at the Start-Up Launchpad competition held at the 2014 European iGaming Congress and Expo (EiG) in Berlin, Germany.
Now in its seventh year, the Dragons’ Den-style contest was hosted by equity crowdfunding platform GamCrowd LTD alongside Clarion Events Ltd.
Fresh8 Gaming is a platform aimed specifically at the sports betting industry that makes advertising personalized, relevant, transactional and, ultimately, betable. Its operator and publisher partners include SkyBet and Marca Apuestas, as well as Sky Sports, The Football League and Goal.com.
The potential of the product impressed the expert judging panel made up of GamCrowd’s Ian Hogg together with Burlywood Capital’s Mark Blandford, Velo Partners’ Evan Hoff, DLA Piper’s Hilary Stewart-Jones and Anthony McAuslan from RoyalWins.
“Congratulations go to Fresh8 Gaming for beating off incredibly stiff competition to land the prize,” said Hogg, GamCrowd’s chairman. “With GamCrowd being a business that deals with start-ups on a daily basis it is clear to see that Fresh8 Gaming is a company that has the potential to become a real success.”
Fresh8 Gaming took the coveted prize ahead of Asylum Labs, Betify, DicountIF and RiftSino VR after claiming the largest share of the audience vote, which was placed via the official EiG networking app.
Andrew Sharland, managing director and co-founder of Fresh8 Gaming, delivered the winning presentation. He said: “We have worked incredibly hard to develop our product to this point and winning Start-Up Launchpad is a fantastic validation of our efforts.
“We believe that Fresh8 Gaming will revolutionize the way that sportsbooks advertise to and interact with their audience through mobile media and the results that we have already had with our high-profile partners were the foundation of our success here at EiG.”
