Online Gaming in Malawi

Malawi has yet to pass legislation to regulate online gambling. However, with keen interest in casino games and sportsbooks in the country, the Malawi Gaming Board has periodically considered introducing online gaming regulations. In November 2019, the Board released a Request for Proposals to award more sports betting, casinos and other progressive licenses in the country, which included exploratory language around remote and technology-driven offerings.
