Online Gaming in Namibia

Online gaming is covered by recent legislation, and unlicensed online gambling is prohibited. Under the Gaming and Entertainment Control Act 2018, which took effect in December 2021, no online gambling may be offered without a licence, and authorities have conducted inspections and enforcement campaigns to shut down illegal land-based and online operations, even though a fully developed licensed online market has not yet emerged.
