5.6 million euro online jackpot falls on NetEnt Mega Fortune

8 July 2014
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Net Entertainment, the world’s leading provider of high-quality online casino games, has paid out a 5.6 MEUR jackpot – among the largest recorded in Sweden – to a 62-year-old winner from Karlstad, playing Mega Fortune on Unibet Casino & Games.
It is the third time a player has unlocked the jackpot on Unibet, playing NetEnt’s Mega Fortune.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was playing the game alone at home on a laptop at the time of hitting the jackpot. The lucky player is considering spreading some joy with the winnings by going on holiday with good friends and helping out the family financially.
Pooled jackpots are very popular with players. Mega Fortune currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest ever jackpot pay-out from an online slot game of 17.8 MEUR from January 2013.
Other potentially life-changing pooled jackpots from the NetEnt portfolio include Hall of Gods and Arabian Nights, which both offer multi-million-euro payouts.
Simon Hammon, Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, comments: “These games and our superb catalog of pooled jackpots – that just keep growing in popularity – continue to deliver life-changing sums for players. This is the third time Unibet has seen a win on Mega Fortune since we introduced the game and I’m confident many more records will be broken in the months and years to come.”
