A Closer Look at HR 2579

On the heels of today's House hearings on Internet gambling, IGN is making available a copy of one of the bills under discussion, the Internet Gambling Payments Prohibition Act (HR 2579). The legislation was introduced before the House by Rep. John LaFalce, D-N.Y., July 20 and referred to the Financial Services and Judiciary committees. The purpose of the bill is to prevent the use of certain bank instruments for Internet gambling, and other purposes.
