Penthouse, the famous adult entertainment publication, is teaming up with gaming industry veteran Ed Fishman and software developer Gaming & Entertainment Technology (GET Group) to launch a new online casino in Australia.

Potential homes for the site are being checked out in the Australian Capital Territory, Norfolk Island and Tasmania, with an expected launch date sometime this spring. Along with casino games, the site will offer a sportsbook, handicapping, fantasy league tournaments and betting options from around the world. The site will be fully integrated with the Penthouse website allowing bettors the opportunity to chat with the Penthouse Pets, visit the photo library, read Penthouse articles and columns, visit gift shops, showrooms and seek advice on matters ranging from wagering to sex.

"Given the brand name quality and worldwide marketing power of Penthouse, the absolute credibility of a license from Australian authorities, the proven track record of Ed Fishman, and the quality of the technology developed by GET, we have solved the biggest question a gambler has - is it safe and honest?" said Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione.

Fishman, the licensee, added, "This can quickly become the largest online casino in the world! When you consider the power of the Penthouse marketing expertise and the fact that more people in most countries throughout the world can play with us simultaneously, at any hour of the day or night, than at any other online casino anywhere." He added that American users will be able to visit the site to play for fun and win prizes, but won't be permitted to place monetary wagers.

Penthousecasino.com has retained KPMG Australia to authenticate Internet security, systems and procedures.

GET Group has developed a set of proprietary state-of-the-art Java-enabled casino software already used by other Australian Net betting sites.

Fishman previously was chairman of Players International Inc. He also helped develop, operate and market gaming and entertainment complexes in Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri and Nevada. Marketing for Penthouse will be coordinated by John Daniels, a New Jersey attorney.
