A Position Statement on E-Gaming

Through a recently released white paper, the European Federation of Coin Machine Associations (EUROMAT) has called for equal treatment of all Internet gaming activity, regardless of whether prizes are awarded.

The group also maintains that all electronic money transfers should be conducted under the same standards established in the electronic commerce directive.

EUROMAT represents the amusement machine industry as a leisure industry division in European. Members include the national associations of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
