Applied Gaming Solutions of Canada Inc. has acquired the domain name "lotteryathome.com" as part of their plan to provide Internet access to the Vietnam national lottery.
"Securing this domain name demonstrates the Government of Vietnam's commitment to seizing opportunities created by the Internet in order to maximize its lottery revenues," said Alec Krstajic, vice president of Rogers@Home and a member of the AGS board of directors.
The company has already acquired "lottovietnam.com" following the government of Vietnam's request that AGS submit a detailed plan to expand the existing on-line lottery system to include Internet-based
transactions.
AGS will not be involved with any Internet transactions related to lotteries in any jurisdiction that prohibits this activity.
The company provides comprehensive, integrated on-line lottery products around the world. AGS currently provides technical support for the on-line lottery system run by the Construction Lottery of the
Capital-Hanoi in Vietnam, and is also licensed in the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan with several other licenses pending.
Further information about the company is available through their website at www.ags.ca.
