1 December 2008

On Thursday, Arena Leisure, an owner and operator of racecourses around the world, announced the appointment of Andrew Page, 50, as a non-executive director effective Dec. 1.

Mr. Page will replace Martin McGann, who is retiring from his position as non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee on Dec. 31. Mr. Page will become the chairman of the audit committee on Jan. 1.

Currently the chief executive of The Restaurant Group, Mr. Page oversees the listed company’s 350 restaurants and pub restaurants, primarily in leisure locations and airports, in the United Kingdom.

“(Mr. Page) brings a wealth of experience to Arena both to the technical role of audit committee chairman, but more importantly, with his extensive experience of the U.K. restaurant and hotel sectors,” H. Raymond Mould, Arena chairman, said in a prepared statement. “The latter skills are an extremely valuable addition to the company as our new catering division, and the construction of our 116-bedroom Marriott hotel at Lingfield Park continue to progress.”
