AsianLogic Posts Major First-Half Gain

AsianLogic, the online and land-based operator, revealed that total revenues rose 208 percent to $54.9 during the first half of 2008 compared to $17.8 million during the previous-year period.

Gross profits for the Asia-Pacific company came in at $5.7 million, up 338 percent from $1.3 million, while average daily casino turnover was reported at $12.9 million, up 180 percent from $4.6 million.

“We are adapting to and driving market trends through the expansion of our poker and P2P business and foresee that acquisitions such as the Asian Poker Tour and its successful roll out will continue to raise the profile of this renowned card game and benefit AsianLogic's shareholders,” Thomas A. Hall, chief executive of AsianLogic, said in the results.
