Aspire Global has today been notified of a decision by Spelinspektionen (The Swedish Gambling Authority) following the delayed integration with the national self-shutdown register Spelpaus. Referring to Chapter 18, section 12, second paragraph and Chapter 19, section 10 of the new Gambling act, Spelinspektionen has resolved on a warning and imposed a penalty fee of SEK 3 million. In favour of Aspire Global, the report states that the infringement took place when Spelpaus was newly established as a service and the obligation to apply the function was new to all licensees, and that the infringement ceased after a relatively short period of time. Aspire Global shares Spelinspektionen's ambition to promote a healthy gaming behaviour and regrets the turn of events.
