Two of the international gaming industry's most renowned gaming show organizers are teaming up to produce the premier event for the burgeoning interactive gaming industry in Europe. ATE, which stages the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) held in London every January, is joining forces with The River City Group, organizer of the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo, the largest show in this hi-tech sector of the gaming industry.
Taking place at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos in Barcelona, Spain Oct. 15-16, the European Interactive Gaming Congress & Expo (EIG) is set to become the largest and most comprehensive I-gaming event yet held in Europe. The event will cover a region which is clearly leading the world in development and deployment of interactive gaming products and applications.
With a theme "Challenges, Solutions & Opportunities for the European I-Gaming Market," the EIG will highlight evolving regulatory concerns, such as money laundering, and new products in wireless and interactive TV technology. In addition, the event will include a limited trade show component with space for a number of exhibitors catering for the European I-gaming community.
Most importantly, EIG will be the first such event put on by companies with expertise in the gaming industry.
Julian Graves, ATE Marketing & Commercial Director, pointed out, "A plethora of events and conferences targeted at this sector, mostly organized by teams with very little knowledge of the industry, have succeeded in creating much confusion and misinformation.
"The RCG-ATE partnership represents a new way forward for the I-gaming industry, and we are delighted to be working with such a highly regarded organization as The River City Group. Pooling together our respective skills, knowledge and contacts should help enormously in creating the definitive event for this industry in Europe."
River City Group CEO Sue Schneider added, "We're pleased to team up with ATE, which is so knowledgeable about the European gaming industry, and combining this with River City Group's seven-year history in the I-gaming industry, we plan to jointly produce the most comprehensive event ever held in Europe on this topic.”
