Registration numbers for the 2009 Amusement Trades Exhibition International, or ATEI, released by the show’s organizers Clarion Gaming reveal a 46.4 percent increase in pre-registration when compared to last year’s figures. The show takes place Jan. 27-29 in London’s Earls Court.
Registration began on the show’s Web site on Oct. 8. Additional numbers point out that 67.5 percent of pre-registrations are United King-based industry professionals and 32.5 percent of registrants are located outside the United Kingdom.
The significant contingent of ex-ATEI exhibitors now situated in the co-located International Gaming Expo will be encouraged to hear that IGE pre-registrations were also up, 52 percent higher than the equivalent figure for ICE 2008.
“Whilst the first set of pre-reg data gives us an early indication of the huge interest in the show, there is still a way to go before the doors open,” said Charlotte Skinner, Clarion Gaming marketing manager, in a prepared statement. “Our marketing drive will intensify over the next three months with the aim of maximizing both domestic and international attendance.”
