The Australian Casino Association has voted to change its name to the Australasian Casino Association, to better reflect its members, it's executive director said.
The association was established in 1992 when a group of Australia-based casino operators formed a united front to represent the interests of all of Australia's casinos.
Membership has since expanded and now includes 13 Australian casinos and five New Zealand casinos.
"The name change represents the membership base of the association and was a logical step to take," Chris Downey, executive director of the association said.
