Bally Technologies to Expand European Sales Operations

16 December 2008

Bally Technologies Inc. announced on Tuesday plans to open a new European headquarters in Amsterdam and to expand its European sales and service organization.

The slot and video machine supplier said that a realignment and expansion of its sales team is needed because of its increasing presence in Europe. The new headquarters will house the company’s main European logistics, warehousing, financial, sales, production and assembly and customer-service operations. The company has also hired Marcel Hautmekers, a former Holland Casino and Atronic gaming executive, as director of Europe.

In addition to the new European headquarters, Bally Technologies will also open a new sales and service office in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to support an expanding presence in Eastern Europe, the company said, while maintaining satellite sales and service operations centers in Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. Along with the move, the company's systems research and development and service operations will transfer to a larger office in Nice, France.
