Betfair International plc (Betfair) offered betting on the U21 Allsvenskan to Swedish customers, which is not permitted. Betting on football in the Swedish league system may only be offered at the four highest league levels according to regulation SIFS 2020:2.
The Swedish Gaming Authority considers the violation is serious and occurred systematically. The fact that the games have taken place at low compensation for Betfair does not affect the Gambling Authority's assessment.
Betfair receives a warning for offering unauthorized betting and must pay a penalty fee of SEK 4 million.
