Big Time Gaming signs MegaWays licensing deal with Blueprint Gaming

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Pioneering online slot developer Big Time Gaming has struck a ground-breaking deal to license its patented and trademarked MegaWays mechanic to leading U.K.-based game studio Blueprint Gaming.
The first-of-its-kind agreement allows Blueprint Gaming, part of the Gauselmann Group, to design and develop its own games using MegaWays, which debuted in Big Time Gaming’s Dragon Born over two years ago.
The first Blueprint release that will incorporate MegaWays is Diamond Mine, launching in May, which will be followed by Irish Riches Progressive.
The latest iteration of MegaWays is powering BTG’s latest slot release, Extra Chilli, which has become the most successful LeoVegas launch of all time, smashing all previous KPIs from any provider.
MegaWays is a random reel modifier system that allows any given spin to produce a different number of symbols across the reels, allowing players to experience a totally different game with every spin. Big Time Gaming has cornered the market with this innovation with games like Bonanza, White Rabbit and Extra Chilli.
Blueprint Gaming is owned by German gambling giant, the Gauselmann Group, which designs, develops and builds slot machines and games for land-based and online operators.
Nik Robinson, Big Time Gaming CEO, said, “This is a ground-breaking agreement that stands testament to the highly innovative and unique mechanics we have developed here at Big Time Gaming.
“MegaWays is a very successful mechanic and we believe it will eventually dwarf the standard 5x3 format of recent years. We are delighted to be able to share it with Blueprint Gaming and we believe this deal will lay the foundation for similar deals in the future.”
Matt Cole, Managing Director at Blueprint Gaming, said, “Big Time Gaming has created a great game format in MegaWays, and we look forward to incorporating what has become a very well-recognized mechanic in a set of future Blueprint titles.”
