24 April 1999
As the great race for king of the online bingo hill continues, Bingo.com inches closer to achieving pay-for-play capabilities. Days after receiving an online gaming license in Antigua, the company announced that it has inked a commerce agreement with Global Payment Systems.

The company chose Global Payment Systems, which provides secure payment processing, after an extensive review of several of its competitors. Global Payment Systems maintains connections to select processors providing real-time, global payment processing and supports payment processing for more than 28 local currencies, including North American currencies, all major European and Scandinavian currencies, the Japanese yen, Malaysian ringgit, Singapore dollar, Philippines peso, South African rand, and the Pakistan rupee.

"We are pleased to be working with Global," said Bingo.com President and CEO Darren Little. "Global's many years of experience in providing secure payment processing to their worldwide customer base will help ensure Bingo players receive the first class treatment playing on our Internet site."
