Bingo Prize Hike Denied in Kan.

13 February 2009

According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, a state senate committee voted down legislation that would have upped the ante on prize limits in Kansas’ 27 bingo parlors.

The narrowly rejected bill, Senate Bill 107, was opposed by veterans groups who feared higher prizes elsewhere would chip away at business, the paper said, though others felt a hike in stakes would attract more players overall.
