Playtech Chooses Quova for Geolocation

Quova, Inc., a provider and developer of Web geography services and technologies, has announced an agreement to provide geolocation data for regulatory compliance and fraud prevention to gaming software supplier Playtech. Quova's GeoPoint, which determines the geographic location of a Web site user and the cyber-location of an online transaction in real time, has been incorporated into Playtech's gaming platform to help Playtech's licensees screen out potentially fraudulent users and remain compliant with multinational regulations on Internet gambling.

Chartwell Signs Bingo.com

Online gaming system provider Chartwell Technology Inc. announced this month that it will develop a real-money platform for Bingo.com. The system will offer Flash-based 75- and 90-ball games, chat features and Chartwell's full suite of soft games, which are offered as side games and intermission entertainment. Bingo.com has more than 30,000 daily visitors, averages over 800 new player signups per day and has served up over 4 billion bingo cards to date on a play-for-fun basis.

InterCasino Launches New Games

InterCasino and its four European-themed sites have updated their sites to feature new games powered by WagerLogic's version 6 software. InterCasino Euro added a host of exclusive new games, including Rapid Fire Slots (comprised of six machines linked to one progressive jackpot, which pays out daily), Casino Solitaire, Super Fun 21, Pontoon, Casino War, Bonus Video Poker and Fruit Machines. InterCasino's Euro division consists of four sites aimed at specific markets--Germany, France, Italy and Spain--and offers players from those countries 'pub-style' fruit machine games in their native languages and in the euro currency.

Stanley Vies for Super Casino

Liverpool-based Stanley Leisure says it wants to be the operator of England's sole Las Vegas-style super casino. Policymakers agreed to slash the number of mega casinos from eight to one to get the Gambling Bill through Parliament before the general election, and insiders speculate that the super casino will be built in Blackpool. Stanley Leisure runs 41 U.K. casinos (including four establishments in London and its large Star City complex in Birmingham) and is the country's biggest casino operator. The company in November 2004 announced a joint venture with its largest shareholder, Malaysia-based Genting International, to develop new regional casinos in England.

PokerFan.com Goes Live

SportsDirect Inc. has announced the official launch of a new online magazine called "PokerFan.com." The site was developed to be an online source for everything from tutorials for beginners to advanced strategy for experienced players. Visitors can learn the basics of popular games like Texas Hold'em as well as learn advanced techniques for bluffing and poker tournament strategies. The new site joins the company's existing media properties, which include Covers.com and WagerLine.com.

English Harbour Adds Poker

English Harbour New Ventures Inc., a provider of online gaming services, has announced the launch of its new online poker product, English Harbour Poker, and a new Web site, EnglishHarbourPoker.com. Developed through a partnership with Las Vegas From Home Inc., the software includes popular games like Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud, Survivor Guts Poker, etc. The flagship site offers ring play, daily tournaments and satellites for seats at World Poker Tour events and the World Series of Poker.

VIPCasino.com this month launched VIP Premium Club, a multi-tiered reward program designed to redefine online casino customer rewards. Membership is divided into four levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum), which are defined by the number of monthly comp points earned.
