The fast-moving world of companies that provide online entertainment or gaming services will benefit from a new event produced by two veteran conference organizers. The Council for International Tax Education, Inc. (CITE) has joined forces with The River City Group LLC to provide a technical conference for professional staff and consultants of online gaming and entertainment companies. It will be held November 24-26, 2002 at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Titled "Emerging Issues for Entertainment and Interactive Gaming Operations," the conference will cover information on the background of companies that provide these services online. Key presenters will offer updates on legal, tax and accounting concerns of successful technology operators and suppliers. The conference will also discuss optimal locales for such operations and preparing for a merger or acquisition among other topics. CPE/CLE course credits will be available to the legal and accounting/tax professionals in attendance.
William Green, Executive Director of CITE, stated, "We're very excited about offering quality training to professionals in these high tech organizations. It’s an area that’s very international on both the corporate and consumer side and poses a number of challenges to professionals in the field.”
Sue Schneider, CEO/President of The River City Group LLC, added, "This area is always changing and keeping up with the legal, tax and accounting developments is an ongoing struggle. We’re very pleased to be teaming up with an organization of the caliber of CITE to offer such professional training."
The Council for International Tax Education (CITE), a non-profit organization, was formed to educate U.S. and foreign multinationals and companies engaged in international business on the tax, legal and accounting aspects of doing business overseas. It is part of the FSC/DISC Tax Association, Inc. (FDTA), which was formed in 1984. CITE provides tax publications, newsletters and educational seminars to fulfill its mission.
