In a multi-year exclusive licensing agreement with both Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and DC Comics Inc., CryptoLogic Ltd. secured two big brands to add to its comic book-studded lineup.
Expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2009, games featuring major brands like Superman and Batman have CryptoLogic hoping for a revenue boost.
“It's all about doing what we do best: Branded games are the fastest-growing part of our business,” said Brian H. Hadfield, CryptoLogic's president and chief executive, in a prepared statement. “We expect these and other games will help drive CryptoLogic's revenue growth for years to come.”
Lesser known superheroes like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash are said to also be part of the deal.
