World Cupdate -- Irish bookmaker Paddy Power said today that it will refund more than £128,000 worth of bets after Ireland lost a World Cup match to Spain after a penalty shoot-out. A company spokesman said the move will put more money in punters' pockets for the next game. Paddy Power will pay out on single bets of up to £250 made before the kick-off. William Hill said it would follow suit if England loses to Brazil on Friday.

New Stuff -- Gaming Insight said Monday that its interactive racing channel, gobarkingmad, successfully finished its tests with British Sky Broadcasting. The channel, which will feature live greyhound racing from the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia, is scheduled for a June 24 soft launch. David Sanderson, Gaming Insight's chief executive, said the company is looking for additional cash to cover the start-up costs.
