David Carruthers Pleads Guilty in BetOnSports Case

David Carruthers, the former chief executive of BetonSports, pled guilty to racketeering conspiracy charges -- Count 1 of the third superseding indictment -- in a St. Louis, Mo., court Wednesday.

Mr. Carruthers agreed to not appeal provided that the sentence doesn't exceed 33 months, which is under the terms of the agreement, as well as to not engage in United States-facing offshore gambling businesses during the time of supervised release or thereafter.

Sentencing has been set for Friday, Oct. 2.
