Neteller failed to meet its set deadline today for resolving the investigation by the U.S. Government into the company, but said that it intends to make an announcement soon on the progress of the inquiry.
Neteller on June 4 announced a plan for the distribution of funds to its U.S. customers, who were shut out upon the company's decision to leave the market after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was enacted last October.
The company said today that it believes it is making significant progress toward a resolution and hopes to make a positive announcement within days.
Further to Thursday's announcement that Neteller would be de-listed from the AIM on July 16, the company said "the restoration of trading in the company's ordinary shares would depend on resolution of the investigation within a short time frame and finalization and publication of the company's audited annual accounts for 2006."
