It was a big week for dot com Entertainment Group.
First the Internet gaming software company announced a license agreement with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Then a day later its subsidiary corporation, dot com Ltd. out of Antigua, broke the news that it has signed a similar deal with Victor Chandler-owned Rock International Limited.
The Victor Chandler agreement, said the president and CEO of dot com, has potential to bring the company its largest licensee to date due to the English sports betting company's widespread name recognition.
"We expect that it could become our biggest licensee," Scott White said. "Victor Chandler is a very old and established brand-name, land-based bookmaker with operations throughout the world and we think that they could become a very, very large dot com licensee relatively quickly given that experience."
White said the target start date for the new Internet casino is September, although matters such as the URL and the appearance of the casino are still to be decided.
"We haven't got to the point of agreeing to exactly the type of e-digital work we are going to be doing," White said. "We've pitched them on different looks and feels but they have not yet decided."
dot com will be supplying Rock International Limited with its standard suite of games, which includes slots, blackjack, Caribbean poker, roulette and craps. White said the number of games will increase once the site is operational. The Victor Chandler subsidiary is also thinking about adding dot com's Internet bingo.
Inferno Media, dot com's in-house advertising firm, will do the advertising and branding for the Gibraltar-based company.
Representatives for Victor Chandler couldn't be reached for comment.
dot com announced Tuesday that it had an agreement with the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for a suite of Internet casino games in play-for-fun form. That deal was dot com's first license agreement with a land-based casino. The Rock International Limited understanding is dot com's second such agreement.
