European operator 888 clears hurdle for offering online poker in Nevada

Reuters reports that the Nevada Gaming Control Board on Wednesday said it recommended the approval of Gibraltar-based 888 Holdings Plc's applications - including one as a manufacturer of an interactive gaming system, one as a distributor and another as an interactive gaming service provider - when the Nevada State Gaming Control Board Gaming Commission takes up the Control Board's favorable recommendations for 888 on March 21 in Las Vegas.
According to the Reuters report, Caesars Entertainment Corp. and 888 have said that once licensed they would launch a World Series of Poker website in Nevada, where Caesars Interactive Entertaiment won approval to operate an online poker service from gaming regulators earlier this year.
888 Holdings currently operates World Series of Poker websites with Caesars in Britain and operates other online gaming sites throughout Europe, Reuters reports.
