(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Gaming Supervisory Authority under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania imposed a fine of 11,115 euros on the gaming organizer UAB Novogaming Vilnius for violations of Article 10, Part 10 and Article 15, Part 2 of the Law on Gambling of the Republic of Lithuania.
On 14 November 2024, the Supervisory Authority initiated a scheduled inspection of UAB Novogaming Vilnius in accordance with Inspection Order No. PT-35 of 29 October 2024.
After conducting a scheduled inspection of the company, the Director of the Supervisory Service, by order No. DIE-107 of 20 March 2025 "On the scheduled inspection of UAB "Novogaming Vilnius" in accordance with the inspection order No. PT-35 of 29 October 2024", stated that:
1. On 4 December 2024, by admitting a minor to the Company's slot machine parlor located at MK Ciurlionio g. 75-1, Druskininkai, and allowing him to be there between 7:27 p.m. and 8:23 p.m., the Company violated Article 10, Part 10 of the ALI, which establishes that it is prohibited to admit persons under the age of 18 to slot machine and bingo parlors, betting and totalizator points, as well as persons who have not presented an identity document, and to allow persons under the age of 18 to participate in remote gambling.
2. In the Company's video recordings of 4 December 2024, which capture persons entering the Company's slot machine salon located at MK Ciurlionio g. 75-1, Druskininkai, the image of the persons entering is blurred, and the facial features of the persons are blurred. Also, in the video recordings of December 4, 2024, which show the cash register in the slot machine salon located at MK Ciurlionio g. 75-1, Druskininkai, the actions of the gamblers and/or the employee serving the gamblers performing operations with money at the cash register are not always clearly visible - the video cameras are installed in such a way that the gambler and/or the employee serving the gamblers are almost not visible, only the back of the employee is visible, which does not allow for clear identification of persons or seeing the actions in full. Therefore, the Company violated Article 15, Part 2 of the ALI, which stipulates that the digital video recording system in the slot machine salon must operate in such a way that the video recordings clearly show the actions of persons entering the slot machine salon, gamblers and employees serving gamblers performing cash transactions at the cash register.
Decisions made by the Supervisory Authority are not final and may be appealed in accordance with the procedure established by the Law on Administrative Procedure of the Republic of Lithuania.
Possible violations are examined and proposals for a decision on the imposition of a fine and its amount are submitted by the Advisory Commission for the adoption of a decision on the imposition of a fine and its amount, established by order of the Director of the Gambling Supervision Service.
