Former Aristocrat C.E.O. to Head Up Shuffle Master

3 February 2009

Timothy J. Parrott, the former president and chief executive to the Americas of Aristocrat Technologies Inc., has become chief executive-elect of Shuffle Master Inc., the industry supplier announced on Monday.

His appointment was announced in conjunction with the retirement of long-time chief executive Mark L. Yoseloff. Mr. Yoseloff has served as chief executive of Shuffle Master for eight years and will retire on March 15, according to the company.

Shuffle Master said Mr. Yoseloff and Mr. Parrot will work in tandem until Mr. Yoseloff’s departure to ensure a smooth transition. In addition, Mr. Yoseloff plans to stay on as a part-time employee for a period of time after he steps down, Shuffle Master said, but does not plan to run for board reelection.

“Given his proven track record of success and deep gaming expertise, I believe Tim is the clear choice for the future leadership needs of our company,” Mr. Yoseloff said in a prepared statement.

Mr. Yoseloff added that 2009 “is the right time” for him to spend more time with family and focus on charity activities.

Along with his work at Aristocrat, Mr. Parrot has served as the chairman and chief executive of On Stage Entertainment, a Las Vegas-based production company, and as the chairman and chief executive of Boomtown Inc., a company that later merged with Pinnacle Entertainment.
