International gaming industry expert, Paul Dworin has left GEM Communications to pursue his own interests.

Dworin, who joined the company in 1984, most recently was President and Publisher of IGWB (International Gaming & Wagering Business), GEM's flagship publication serving all segments of the international commercial gambling industry. He previously also served as GEM's Chief Operating Officer.

Dworin's list of accomplishments while with GEM and it predecessor companies is lengthy. Among other products, Dworin created the World Gaming Congress & Expo (WGCE), which has become the largest and most successful event of its kind in the world, with more than 22,000 attendees. (The WGCE is now the official trade show and conference of the industry's most important organization, the American Gaming Association.) Dworin also launched the Riverboat Gaming Congress & Expo, which, during its four-year run from 1990-1994, helped raise the industry's awareness about a new format for gaming; oversaw the development of several European conferences; and led the company's successful effort to organize and manage the North American lottery industry's annual conference and trade show.

On the publishing side, Dworin launched several successful newsletters and spearheaded the development of the company's new niche-market quarterly publications, Indian Gaming Business, Slot Manager and Casino Resort Business.

With his deep knowledge of the industry and vast network of contacts and relationships throughout the world, Dworin is uniquely positioned to support the efforts of operators and suppliers alike in the areas of new business development, market research, marketing and advertising, governmental relations and market representation.
