(PRESS RELEASE) -- Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) announced the launch of
Golden Park in the Portuguese regulated online market, using its leading player account manager (PAM) and sportsbook, further strengthening the existing partnership that started in Spain in 2019.
The launch is significant as it’s not only GiG’s second B2B partner brand in Portugal, following the previous launch of Betway in the country, but also represents the first time the Golden Park brand has been available to any market outside of Spain.
Recently crowned EGR’s Full Service Platform and Multi-Channel Supplier of the year, one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, GiG’s platform and sportsbook solutions are specifically designed to suit operations within the most complex and highly regulated markets available, being licensed in 30 such markets and with a further eight in the development pipeline.
Portugal provides one of the most robust regulatory online gaming frameworks in Europe, alongside a resolute taxation structure that facilitates the need for highly configurable solutions to help navigate opportunities for growth in the market. GiG’s bespoke sportsbook, with many years of experience of a similar model in France, is built to allow for adaptable margins, giving sportsbook operators the opportunity to tailor their offering to remain commercially attentive, and competitive.
The online gaming market in Portugal offers considerable opportunity for growth. Revenue jumped 24.8% YoY to €196.4m in Q1 2023, across the 28 license holders, 12 for sports betting and 16 for igaming, according to data supplied by the regulator, Servico de Regulacao e inspecao de Jogos (SRIJ).
