30 July 2015
(PRESS RELEASE) -- NetEnt, the leading digital entertainment company, providing online gaming solutions to the world’s most successful casino operators, has announced a 3.1 million EUR pooled jackpot has fallen on Mega Fortune played using the Betsson Casino & Live Casino app.
The prize was won from a 50-cent stake using the Touch mobile version of the game. NetEnt’s Touch pooled jackpot games give players the chance to win jackpots worth millions of euros on the go.
Mega Fortune is part of NetEnt’s global jackpot network, where the liquidity from many of the largest European online casinos is pooled. Mega Fortune has made millionaires across Europe since 2008 when it was commercially released to the general market.
The game currently holds the Guinness World Record for the largest ever jackpot payout from an online slot machine of 17.9 million EUR from January 2013.
Today’s jackpot is the second to fall in a week, following the announcement of a 4.6 million EUR win on the Touch mobile version of Net Ent’s Mega Fortune Dreams played on LeoVegas.com.
Jackpot winner, 23, from Hessen, Germany comments: “After seeing a Mega Fortune promotion, my husband and I decided to give the game a try after we put our children to bed – and then the impossible happened. When we saw the jackpot we jumped around!”
Simon Hammon, Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, comments: “This great win is the second multi-million award in a week on NetEnt’s famous pooled jackpot games. The ability to win such an amount on a mobile device really shows how one’s life can change while on the move.”
