Global I-Gaming Event Expects Continued Growth

6 February 2003

A delegation of over 1,000 professionals in the US$6 billion interactive gambling industry is expected exchange ideas on international trends and showcase new products in Toronto, May 20-22, 2003 at the Fifth Annual Global Interactive Gaming Summit & Expo (GIGSE).

With this segment of the gaming industry reinventing itself daily, this year's event will play host to the most extensive rollout of new I-gaming products to date. Key sponsors of the event include Microgaming Systems, RealTime Gaming, CryptoLogic and Playtech.

A wide array of wares and services, including geo-location, transaction processing, wireless technology, legal, marketing and security solutions will be on display.

GIGSE, the world's largest summit and expo for wireless and Internet gaming and wagering, is recognized as the event where the latest I-gaming technologies are unveiled and the newest trends are discussed. The industry has also come to know GIGSE as the single most important networking opportunity of the year.

In addition to the expo hall, which last year hosted 62 of the industry's leading suppliers, GIGSE will feature six conference tracks as an international line-up of policy-makers, specialists and analysts discuss management strategies, trends in marketing, legal/political developments, regulatory challenges, investment opportunities, new technologies and the overall state of the business. The dynamic, expansive program will include plenary sessions, breakout tracks and roundtable discussions.

As always, GIGSE 2003 will also feature an optional pre-conference primer workshop designed for individuals who are new to the business.

Sue Schneider, CEO of the River City Group, the producer of the conference, said the maturity of this international event is one of its greatest assets. "The Summit draws leaders from around the world," said Schneider. "Last year, over 42 countries were represented by the attendees. In fact, over 600 people traveled from Europe, Asian, and South America to see the new products and discuss issues with their colleagues from around the world."

The River City Group is also pleased to announce that it's adding a one-day pre-Summit conference on Affiliate Marketing for Online Gaming Operations. The conference is being produced in cooperation with the Internet CASINO Affiliate Marketing Association (, the leading association in this important sector of the industry.

The one-day seminar will explore critical issues pertaining to the casino revenue-share business model, affiliate programs and performance marketing. Chairman, Herby Olschewski, said, "We're pleased to team up with The River City Group at the largest global event for the interactive gaming industry. This conference offers webmasters an opportunity to interact with the entire spectrum of the industry. In addition, it will give operators from around the world the chance to learn the latest in affiliate marketing concepts, understand the benefits of pay-for-performance advertising and above all, help define the ethics and standards of this blossoming marketing method. Attendees of this prestigious event will come away with a clear understanding of how to orchestrate a successful online casino strategy using affiliate programs and performance marketing."
