Go Call Inc. announced Tuesday the termination of an agreement with Andros Hotels and Casinos Inc. in which Andros was to purchase the Margaritaville Hotel, located in the Dominican Republic, from Go Call.
Go Call will continue to operate and utilize the Caribbean resort for marketing its products and services to clients, while it proceeds to seek opportunities for the sale of the non-Internet-related business. The agreement between the two companies was announced in July 1999. No reason was given for its termination.
Go Call, an Internet and e-commerce company focused on the Internet entertainment industry, recently reported net income of $280,213, or $0.014 per share, for the quarter ended June 30, 1999. The company's services include processing transactions for online gaming through its Go Cash subsidiary, banner advertising and the development of a comparison shopping search engine and Internet kiosks.
