InterContinental Casinos (ICC), owner of two of the most established casinos on the Internet, has announced plans to re-launch both sites with software provided by Playtech, N.V.
ICC said it made the switch to better serve its customers. The new software will increase the number of games offered at the two sites, USA Casino and New York Casino, from 12 to 49. It will also add new features, including instant access to detailed game histories, close-up modes for slots and card games and tools to enable loyal players to be rewarded automatically.
"Over the past six months, we have reviewed our entire gaming operation and in response to our findings, have created a long-term strategy that will put us at the top of the list for player service, customer care and value," ICC Group Casino Manager David Washington explained. "We have always been proud to give our customers the very best of everything and in our new partnership with Playtech, we're delighted to say that our customers will continue to get the very best that the gaming world has to offer.”
The change in software suppliers will sever ICC's long-term relationship with Swedish software developer Boss Media. InterContinental Casinos was Boss Media's first licensee, with USA Casino being launched to wide acclaim in May 1998. New York Casino followed later that year and in 2000 the group added InterContinental Casino.
ICC said Playtech's software will provide players with the most customer-focused and entertaining gaming platform available. The company also said existing customers can be assured that their accounts will remain active with the new software and that the changeover won't create any problems.
ICC is the second online casino operator in a month's time to switch to Playtech. In April, Sunny Gruop, another well established operator, signed with Playtech, after a falling out with its previous provider, Microgaming Systems.
