12 June 2008

IGT-UK, a subsidiary of Las Vegas-based gaming machines and technology provider International Game Technology, has acquired Manchester-based mobile gambling software provider Million-2-1 for an undisclosed sum.

Chris Sheffield, CEO of Million-2-1, will remain on board, becoming director and general manager of IGT-UK's remote gambling division with responsibility for Internet and interactive television products as well as mobile products.

Last week IGT-UK signed a conditional agreement to purchase the business of UK gaming machines and systems supplier Cyberview Tech for £38.8 million ($76 million) in cash. The agreement covers an exclusive license to certain of Cyberview's intellectual properties for an additional £4.6 million ($9 million).
