Two well established sports betting operations officially took there services to the Internet this week, becoming the sixth and seventh licensees of gaming software developer Interactive Gaming & Wagering N.V. (IGW).
IGW, a subsidiary of Global Entertainment Holdings/Equities Inc., announced Monday that it has signed deals with Gold Medal Sports and Legalbook Sports. Both have a proven history in the sports wagering marketplace. Gold Medal, which exceeded $118 million in wagers last year, anticipates over $250 million in wagers this year alone.
"We believe the integration of our Internet sportsbook and casino software with the telephone call center will significantly benefit our clients," IGW President Bryan Abboud said. "The licensees are established companies with existing customers that create a significant advantage over a start-up in that reputation is everything on the Web."
Under the agreements, IGW will develop customized sportsbook and casino sites and enable an 800-call center interface using IGW's proprietary software. IGW's turnkey sportsbook and casino software package allows licensees to immediately handle betting for all major sporting events and casino gaming. Other features include a "common wallet" solution, which allows a seamless passage from the sportsbook to casino gaming using the same account.
Headquartered in Omaha, Neb., Global Entertainment Holding/Equities, Inc. provides financial consulting, investment banking and funding for its wholly owned subsidiary, Interactive Gaming and Wagering N.V. (IGW), and TheSportsDaily.com (www.TheSportsDaily.com), a division of Global Entertainment Holdings. IGW, based in Willemstad, Curacao, has developed the Internet & Telephony Sportsbook & Casino System (ITSCS), a leading turnkey sportsbook and casino software package, which it licenses. Global Entertainment Holdings, through TheSportsDaily.com, offers sports enthusiasts a portal to relevant sports information.
