SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA -- Cyberoad Corporation and eBanx Corp. have integrated the two companies' software platforms, creating a dynamic Internet transaction clearinghouse operation for gaming companies that use Cyberoad's sports betting system.
The critical impact of the platform integration is the increased security of all financial transactions between Cyberoad Corporation (Cyberoad) clients and the sports bettor.
Much has been made of the lack of payout credibility surrounding offshore sportsbooks. The number one problem has been sportsbook clients not receiving their funds because unscrupulous sportsbooks either don't pay or go bankrupt. The new Internet financial transaction system, developed by eBanx Corp. (eBanx) and Cyberoad eliminates this possibility.
"The most critical issue for gaming companies is one of credibility," says Cyberoad President, John Coffey. "Sports bettors want to know that their money is safe, that they are going to get paid. This integration of eBanx into our sports betting system is the perfect solution for both our sportsbook clients, and their clients—the sports bettor."
Each sportsbook is required to open a merchant account with eBanx, while the bettor opens a personal eBanx account. When someone makes a bet with the sportsbook, the eCash is held by eBanx until the event is determined. If the bettor wins, the held eCash is released back to the player and the winnings automatically credited to their eBanx account. All transactions come directly out of the client's eBanx account, much like a bank debit-card payment system.
"In other words, the sportsbook never touches the players' money unless they earn it," stipulates Coffey.
Cyberoad Corporation (http://www.cyberoad.com), is a leading developer of network and software systems for the international sports wagering industry. Cyberoad's client base comes from both existing and emerging international sportsbooks.
Located at http://www.ebanx.com, eBanx Corp. is a Canadian-based Internet financial transaction clearinghouse company that offers secure, online eCash transactions between eBanx merchants and consumers. It provides a form of computer generated currency that can be purchased through a variety of methods. Once eCash is obtained, it can be used to purchase goods and services on various merchant account-holding websites, including sports betting companies. An example of the eBanx and Cyberoad System integration with an international sportsbook is Grand Prix Sportsbook, located at http://www.grandprixsports.com.
