Now we have a new cybercrime. Circus Circus Enterprises
has filed suit in U.S. District Court against a German
Internet gambling outfit that Circus feels has infringed
on its company trademark.
The lawsuit also accuses WWWInternetgames GmbH of deceptive
trade practices in using both a name and symbols that it
feels are designed to create the impression that the site
has something to do with Circus Circus. According to the
lawsuit, the Germans use Circus Casino and graphics of
pyramids and a sphinx similar to the Circus Circus' Luxor
hotel and casino themes.
