29 August 2008

Intralot S.A., the Athens-based lottery operator and gaming technology supplier, announced today its consolidated revenues increased 44.5 percent during the first-half compared to last year posting revenues at 547.5 million euros.

The interim report also revealed that earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization reached 126.7 million euros, an increase of 5.1 percent from the same period in 2007. Revenues for its parent company, however, were down 3.5 percent at 98.9 million euros.

“The first half of 2008 was very interesting for Intralot since it managed to prevail in a number of significant international tenders,” said Constantinos Antonopoulos, chief executive of Intralot, in a prepared statement.

He listed the significant tenders as three license deals in Madrid, a dual lottery contract in the Netherlands, a contract with the Ohio State Lottery in the United States and the risk-management contract for Iddaa, the Turkish betting game. Additionally, he mentioned, the Greek company acquired a Slovakian video-lottery operator and an Italian company.
