KPMG eGaming Summit announces speakers

5 April 2012
The Summit is due to be held on April 19 at the Caleta Hotel and will bring together key stakeholders and decision makers from eGaming operators, service providers and the government. They will present on a range of matters relevant to the industry, as well as take questions from delegates.

As with previous KPMG Summits in Gibraltar and further afield, the morning session will focus on issues specific to the jurisdiction. Following opening remarks by The Hon. Gilbert Licudi, Government of Gibraltar, Phill Brear of the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority will offer an update on licensing and regulation, followed by a general sector update provided by Peter Montegriffo of Hassans. Clive Hawkswood, Chief Executive of the Remote Gambling Association, will present his view of "The Future for Europe," after which Lucky Multani of 888 Holdings will talk about player security and fraud prevention. The morning closes with a highly topical presentation by HM Treasury & HMRC on UK tax and regulation and lunch will then be provided by sponsors Silver Tail Systems.

The afternoon session will then focus on the sector in a broader global context, with an eye to the future. Highlights will include representatives of digital marketing company Latitude Group presenting on social gaming and mobile marketing, Joanna Lawrence from Barclaycard talking about payment acceptance and solutions, renowned futurist Warwick Bartlett speaking on the future of the U.S. and Asia, and John Kamara from SpadeSocial discussing customer acquisition. The afternoon will close with a Q&A session in which a panel of four experts will field questions from delegates on the day’s topics.

After the end of the formal sessions, delegates will be invited to stay for food and cocktails provided by Callcredit Information Group. After the event, a full written report on the day’s topics and discussions will be made available courtesy of international hosting providers Continent 8.

David McGarry, the Managing Director of KPMG Gibraltar, commented: “As ever, I am delighted at the range and quality of industry commentators who make themselves available to speak at our Summits. I am due to close the event and suspect that they will collectively form a very tough act to follow – I may be in need of the post-Summit drink being provided by one of our many generous sponsors!”
