(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Gaming Authority received a signal about offering betting options for trotting without a license. After contact with the provider, who does have a license for other games of chance, the offer was immediately discontinued. The Ksa leaves it at a warning.
At the beginning of October, the Ksa received a signal about an authorized online provider offering bets on trot sports on its website. This offer was not authorized by the Ksa. As a result of the signal, direct research was carried out, where it was found that the website could indeed be used for trotting.
The offer was discontinued by the provider within 40 minutes after contact with the Ksa and has not been observed. Further research showed that no players have focused on this specific offer and no turnover has been generated. Measures have also been taken by the provider to prevent recurrence.
Warning and
Due to the adequate response and direct action of the provider, the Ksa leaves it for now with a warning. However, the Ksa wants to emphasize that this is a serious offense. The gambling sector is a fraud and addiction-prone sector. That is why it is very important that there are rules on games of chance and that permit holders comply with these rules.
