According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas Sands Corporation has been asked by attorneys for a Hong Kong businessman, who won a multimillion-dollar judgment against the hotel and casino operator, to post a bond on the award.
The request was made because of the recent financial crisis, which has caused the company’s own stability to crumble. On Friday, District Judge Michelle Leavitt submitted a motion questioning the Sands’ financial liquidity and ability to pay debts.
