(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Gaming Control Authority under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania has imposed a fine of €15,000 on the Gaming Organizer UAB Tete-a-tetete for the violation of Article 18(1) of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Gambling, which provides that gambling is organized in accordance with the Gambling Regulation.
On 14 November 2024, the Supervision Service received the Applicant’s notification that the Company had deleted his account. The applicant reported that on the evening of 13 November 2024 the Company sent a letter of unilateral closure of the Applicant’s account in accordance with paragraph 15.3 of the Loss Regulation of the Company. The applicant stated that the account has not actually been used for more than a year and requested the Company to restore the possibility for the Applicant to use the account.
The non-planned special inspection of UAB Tete-a-tete, an unscheduled special inspection under the order of 12 December 2024 was initiated in accordance with the order of 12 December 2024 to inspect No. PT-42.
Following the non-planned special inspection of the company, by Order No. of the Director of the Supervision Service of 13 March 2025. DIE-101 "On the non-planned special inspection of UAB "Tete-a-tete" casino in accordance with the order of December 12, 2024 to inspect No. PT-42” it was stated that the Employee of the Company, having determined that the Applicant did not participate in remote gaming organized by the Company for more than 12 months, and in accordance with subparagraph 15.3 of the Company’s Remote Gaming Regulation, on 13 November 2024 terminated the remote gaming agreement with the Applicant, although such unilateral termination of the distance contract with the Applicant does not comply with the AAL and the grounds established in the Remote Gaming Agreement, which the Company has the right to terminate the contract.
Decisions taken by the Supervision Service shall not be final and may be appealed against in accordance with the procedure laid down by the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Administrative Proceedings.
Potential violations shall also be examined and proposals shall be submitted to the decision on the imposition of a fine and the determination of the amount thereof by the order of the Director of the Gaming Authority to adopt a decision on the imposition of the fine and the determination of its amount.
