The Shanghai Daily reports that Macau made of 3.2 billion pactas, or $400 million, in direct tax from gambling during the month of November, which was an increase from October of 630 million pactas, according to numbers by the city’s Financial Services Bureau.
The numbers show that the direct tax brought in 36.82 billion pactas for the first 11 months in 2008. The newspaper said this is 20 percent more than anticipated for the entire year.
