Gross gambling revenues at Macau's 30 casinos reached $7.377 billion (59.264 billion pacatas) in the first half of 2008 according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
At the midpoint of the year Macau's gambling industry has already generated 70.6 percent of last year's total revenue of $10.438 billion (83.847 billion pacatas).
There was a slight decline in the second quarter of 2008, in which revenues totaled $3.632 billion (29.179 billion pacatas), compared to the first quarter, in which revenues totaled 3.745 billion (30.085 billion pacatas).
VIP Baccarat remains the largest source of revenue, contributing nearly 70 percent of the total.
