Mansion Closes Sports Book to all Customers

23 February 2007

Online gaming operator Mansion has completely closed is sports book business after closing its doors to U.S.-based players in January.

The Gibraltar licensed and headquartered company quietly closed its doors to U.S.-based account holders as of Jan. 30.

"We regret to advise that we are not accepting deposit or gaming and wagering transactions from Members in the United States," the company said on its Web site FAQ. "U.S. Members may continue to access their Mansion account for administrative purposes."

As of Feb. 13, all Mansion sports book customers are being directed to its betting exchange, according to the site.

The company said all outstanding bets on the sports book would be settled upon completion of the transition and that account holders have access to their sports book bets via their bet history in the account section on the site.

Mansion in January repudiated rumors that it was undergoing a reorganization that would see the company close the majority of its online operations to focus on becoming a "high-end offline and online casino."
