Mansion Re-Launches Online Sports Book

24 October 2007

Online gambling company Mansion.com this week closed its betting exchange, while announcing it would re-launch its sportsbook.

The Gibraltar-based operator, which closed its sports book in February, denied earlier rumors it would be undergoing a re-organization that included closing its betting exchange.

"Mansion is focused on consolidating our online offering and the emphasis is on strengthening our geographic reach and brand portfolio while maintaining our customer-centric approach to growing the business," said CEO Guy Gussarsky in a written statement.

To ease the launch of the new sports betting platform, which features a decimal point pricing structure, the betting exchange stopped taking bets midday on Monday. The company said all outstanding exchange bets will be honored and settled upon completion of the transition.

Earlier this month, Mansion migrated its poker operations to the Ongame Network and in September moved its casino product to the Playtech platform.
